DreamWorks News: Woody Allens Eyes 'Next Project'
Jan 04, 2006 - 12:52 AM
"Match Point writer-director Woody Allen said Monday he would shoot a film in Spain next year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Allen will write and direct the English-language script for Barcelona-based production house Mediapro, using international and Spanish actors. No other details were immediately available.

""I'm happy to be able to work with Mediapro and make a film in Spain,"" Allen said. ""I hope that I'll be able to enjoy my stay in Spain, a country that has become very special to me.""

Allen has recently looked overseas for financial backing for his films, which is why he shot Match Point in the U.K. in 2004. He and Match Point star Scarlett Johansson returned to Britain last year to shoot his follow-up, Scoop, which is set for release sometime this year
