Oct 20, 2007 - 11:01 PM
Lisa Kudrow has joined Emma Roberts and Don Cheadle in DreamWorks' live-action canine caper Hotel for Dogs. Johnny Simmons also is joining the film, which is being directed by Thor Freudenthal.

"Dogs," based on Lois Duncan's 1971 children's book, revolves around two orphaned teenagers who secretly house nine stray canines in an abandoned hotel.

Kudrow will play a foster parent to two siblings, one of which is Roberts' character.

Simmons will play the love interest of Roberts' character.

Lauren Shuler Donner, Jack Leslie and Jon Gordon are producing the film, which is set to begin shooting early next month. Jeff Lowell wrote the screenplay.
