After two weekends at the box office, the Clint Eastwood film 'Flags of our Fathers' has grossed a respectable $19.9 million.
The film debuted in third place last weekend, taking in $10.2 million dollars. Paramount hoped to increase that number by adding 'Flags' to 314 theaters this weekend. Unfortunately, 'Flags' fell victim to the box-office opening of 'Saw III,' which was aided by the Halloween season. 'Flags' managed to score $6.4 million in its second weekend.
In response to the underperformance of the film -- whose budget is estimated at $55 million --, Paramount noted that 'Flags' managed to rise 50% from Friday to Saturday in the latest box-office weekend.
