Jennifer Hudson, who's receiving huge buzz for her performance as Effie in 'Dreamgirls,' recently signed a deal with J Records.

Access Hollywood recently asked Hudson what her upcoming plans were, and she replied, ?My album, I?ll be recording my album! I just signed my record deal two weeks ago. So I?m starting on that in January.?

Jennifer Hudson is best known as being a finalist on the hit TV show 'American Idol.'

J Records is run by the legendary Clive Davis.
